For 23 years Chris Burget has called the Wood River Valley home. A native of Southern California, Chris was recruited with a full scholarship offer from The University of Arizona after being named “Defensive Player of Year” for the legendary football high school Servite High School. Real estate is in Chris’ blood, his great grandfather helped build the Golden Gate Bridge and The Hoover Dam. As an ancestor of the Shea Building family – One of the largest homebuilders in the United States. Chris worked for the Shea Company, best-known for creating communities that bring together families and it is this feeling that Chris found in Sun Valley and the Mackey community. A passionate fisherman and hunter, Chris knows that finding a way to pursue one’s passion is the key to a happy life – whatever that passion may be.

“Finding a home or ranch property is something that was important to me when I moved here over two decades ago. First, I lived in Ketchum and then as I realized the beauty of ranch living and the outdoors I knew that I was on the path to ranch living. In 1998 I moved up over Trail Creek – not far from town, a little over 30 minutes and when I am at my cabin on the river, it is like being in paradise.

For nearly two decades, Chris has sold residential real estate across the Western United States. When he isn’t working with clients to find their dream homes, Chris volunteers with Higher Ground – a noted non-profit that provides outdoor experiences to US Veterans. Chris often utilizes his riverfront property on Trail Creek Road to bring groups of Higher Ground veterans for activities ranging from hiking to hunting and fishing. As well as his charity work, recently Chris got married and he and his wife Kristin have created start-up DraftCard – to help young athletes connect with college coaches. He’ll be spending the rest of his life in the Idaho outdoors and with Pioneer Associates, Chris is able to find the dream properties for all those who want to call Idaho home.
